I finally finished the prototype of my Bicycle POV. There are some photos below and the code can be downloaded from my website www.bryankey.com under the electronics section.

The controller board is my 5x5x5 LED Cube board. i used it because it was just laying around, it was already soldered together, and i needed a Nerdkit connected to a shift register. Of course, for 8 LEDs a shift register was not required but i wanted to be able to upgrade to 16 or 24 very easily.
