Hi everyone, so i just got my nerd kit and upload the first program tutorial. Everything was working great when i put it away. Today i went back at it only to find that my LCD screen isnt working. So i bust out the trusty volt meter and start trouble shooting.

I have isolated the 7805 and am outputting 2.8volts, my input voltage is around 7.8 volts. The output is not connected to anything.

Just wondering how this error could occur? I will probably just go buy another one.

Thanks

Hi Akeshish -

The 7.8v input should be OK, but it is getting close to the dropout voltage difference (Vin - Vout) of 2 volts. Did you try putting 9v on the input pin?
