Is knowing the electric current for your component important besides the voltage? |

Well first of all, you have to understand that they are two completely different things while dependent upon one another. So what exactly is your question? Knowing the current for a component is important. Applying to much voltage will apply to much current. You can apply to much current at a low voltage also. Have you studied OHM's law? Ralph |
