Hi ikpeabasi,

If you are getting random characters on the LCD it most likely means you have a loose or misplaced wire to your LCD. Is this happening on the first project with our preloaded message? If you can post a good close up picture of your setup our staff (and other community members) would be happy to take a look and see if we spot anything strange.
