Everything Else » New LCD header cable (Pics)

Hi guys, I was always getting tired of having my lcd having connection issues with bad wires and not having it be very mobile especially around a big breadboard so I decided to make a new LCD header/connector using 2 old IDE pin connectors and a ribbon cable. I was able to break the pin headers off a broken HDD and a broken floppy drive. So wallah! This took lots of patience for me and solder time. Sorry if it looks a little messy. But it gets the job done and the wires are very secure because I used some hot glue to concrete everything in. |

missle3944, you are about at the place of doing Rick's I2C LCD Project. It is so cool to have your LCD running off two wires (well four with + power and - ground). I made the project up on a protoboard hopefully I will do a PCB soon. Ralph |
