Hi guys,

I was always getting tired of having my lcd having connection issues with bad wires and not having it be very mobile especially around a big breadboard so I decided to make a new LCD header/connector using 2 old IDE pin connectors and a ribbon cable. I was able to break the pin headers off a broken HDD and a broken floppy drive. So wallah!

This took lots of patience for me and solder time. Sorry if it looks a little messy. But it gets the job done and the wires are very secure because I used some hot glue to concrete everything in.

missle3944, you are about at the place of doing Rick's I2C LCD Project.

It is so cool to have your LCD running off two wires (well four with + power and - ground).

I made the project up on a protoboard hopefully I will do a PCB soon.
