Hi,

I was looking through ebay for UART bluetooth modules. Does anyone know if the following module is compatible with atmega168?

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Bluetooth-Slave-UART-Board-Wireless-Transceiver-Module-Development-Board-Kit-/251047105803?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a7392d50b#ht_1971wt_1037

Thanks, Le

Hi Le,

Looks like you are in luck. The "compatibility" link at the bottom of the E-Bay page lists AVR 8-bit RISC (ATmega168 uses this) as one model you can use with the bluetooth module. Of course it also says you can only talk with other "master" modules by the same manufacturer (the one listed is a slave). You will have to translate the voltage down to 3 volts but a couple of FETs can do that easily.
